At Physician Hearing Centers, we pride ourselves on fitting the best digital hearing aid technology available today.  Typically, no two hearing impairments are the same. So a hearing solution can't be one-size-fits-all. Siemens manufactures one in every five of the world's hearing aids. Every aid is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers you more choices of function, feature and style.

Technology Levels

We have divided our product line into four categories:

• Premium Digital Aids:  The Premium Digital Aids are considered the "high-end" of hearing aid technology.  These aids will have the best overall sound quality in all of your listening environments.  They are designed to accommodate a variety of listening situations, including quiet environments, extremely noisy environments, music and telephone automatically.  Consider aids from the Siemens 700 product line.
• Advanced Digital Aids:  The Advanced Digital Aids are considered an upper midline level of technology.  These aids will still accomodate quiet and noisy environments fairly well, as well as offer an automatic telephone option.  Consider aids from the Siemens 500 product line.
• Value Digital Aids:  Designed for somewhat quieter environments, the Value Digital Aids will have more limited help in social situations.  Consider aids from the Siemens 300 product line.
• Basic Digital Aids:  The Basic Digital Aids are considered the entry level of hearing aid technology.  They are designed for quieter, small group conversation environments.  You will receive minimal relief in social situations.  These are the only aids that are not fully automatic and require you to push a button to change programs.  Consider aids from the Siemens 100 product line.

Once you decide on the circuit that will best accomodate your daily listening situations, you need to choose the style (or size) of hearing aid.  Keep in mind that the size of the hearing aid is usually determined by the severity of your hearing loss to guarantee appropriate amounts of amplification.

Styles

• Behind-the-Ear (BTE)  This style sits behind-the-ear and attaches to a clear earmold that fits inside the ear.  The BTE style will accommodate any degree of hearing loss.
• In-the-Ear (ITE)  This style fills in the entire "bowl" portion of the ear.  The ITE will accomodate up to a severe hearing loss.
• Half Shell (HS)  This style will fill in half of the "bowl" portion of the ear.  The HS will accommodate up to a moderate hearing loss.
• In-the-Canal (ITC)  This style will fill in the lower portion of the ear.  The ITC will accommodate up to a mild-moderate hearing loss.
• Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC)  This style will fit completely into the ear canal.  Although this style is cosmetically appealing, it is designed for patients who have mostly a mild hearing loss.

30 Day Trial Period

Physician Hearing Centers offers a 30 day trial period on all hearing aids.  During this trial period we will see you for a two week check-up and a four week check-up.  If you decide to return the hearing aid(s) at the end of the trial period, you will be refunded the cost of the hearing aid(s) minus a minimal fitting fee.

Comprehensive Hearing Care Program

If you decide to keep the hearing aid(s), you will be enrolled in our Comprehensive Hearing Care Program.  This program includes quarterly check-ups, annual tone checks, and batteries for the first three years of your hearing aids at no extra charge to you!
